What Are Those Black Specks?

A) Corroded Pipe: Like any other item in your home, old age has an affect and can cause deterioration. The result is small portions of the line breaking off and winding up in your glass of water. B) Broken Parts: If the broken portions are hard or rubbery this is a result of torn/broken pieces of a hose, washer, or a gasket. Take a look at each of those components and to replace to resolve the issue.


C) Corroded Water Heater: If the specks are spotted only when the hot water is turned on; it may be due to to your corroded water heater. Also, there is the possibility that the water lines to and from the water heater are corroded.
