Check another faucet: If other appliances around your bathroom/home work. There may be something wrong with just the sink itself. Complications such as a faulty sink valve, bent or broken pipe or a clog may be the cause.
Check your hot water: When cold water is functioning properly, but no hot water, the culprit is your water heater. The heater may contain sediment buildup or it is turned off or unplugged.
Check your water main: If no water is present at all, take a look at the main water line shut off valve. If the valve is closed nothing can flow through the main.
Call your water company: The problem is not in your at all. Often, companies will turn off water to certain areas in order to perform a maintenance or repair.
